Gastro-esophageal Reflux

Here's something which I would like to share with other newbie parents.

To cut story short, lil' Pinto was diagnosed to have reflux after admitted to hospital when he's 18-day old. We were clueless what happen to him as he keep throwing out after feeds. It started with just flows of milk from side of his mouth. But on one night, when he started to throw out like a merlion, we knew that we need some medical help.

However, even after discharged from hospital, we did have little knowledge of what 'reflux' is except 'throwing out after feeds'. Until I read this article online. Afterall, it seem like it's quite a common problem among new borns. So if your baby has the same problem, do not panic. Just read the article and you'll have a better understanding. We know it's tough to go through this period with your baby.

Nevertheless, he's into his 8-week now and slowly recovery from Gastro-esophageal Reflux.

Baby Dre One Month Old

Okay, I know it's been long over due.

I've to admit that it has been very tiring since the arrival of little Pinto. The past one month plus was really a learning process for us as newbie parent. Mistakes made, things learnt and a good training lesson on how to shower your loved one with Tender, Love and Care.

Here're some photos to sum up first month of Dre (pronounce as 'dray' NOT 'o-re', 'der' NOR 'dee-ree') Ong.

Still in the labour room.

It's a Pinto Boy!!! Not as tiny as a pinto bean though.

Our new family portrait.

Happy little Pinto. Fit perfectly to his Chinese name 'Le'.

Pinto accompany his mummy on confinement month.

But not for long...poor little him was admitted to hospital at 18-day old.

Strong and tough...he battled out of hospital stay to be home to celebrate his Baby Shower party.
